Warriors win after big 2nd half

The Warrior fans saw the return of Chris Griffin who has been out since the first game of the season. WVC would trail at half time 43 to 30 because LTC could not miss a shot connecting on seven three pointers. WVC would come out very aggressive on defense to start the second half and held that intensity to the final buzzer allowing the Statesmen only 17 points in the second half. With 11 minutes left to play WVC would go up 57 to 55 never to give up the lead the rest of the game. Coach Dan Sparks who is back on the sidelines had four Warriors in double figures. RonTray Chavis led WVC with 20 points, Phillip Jackson seeing action again after an ankle injury had 15 points, Chris Griffin had 13 and Tyrone Sherman added 11. The Warriors are now 8-10 on the season and 3-5 in the GRAC while Mike Ray's Statesman fall to 10-9 and 2-6 in the GRAC.
