MOUNT CARMEL, Ill. -- When you enjoy an undefeated campaign to date, you're likely to receive some significant national attention. Such is the case with the Wabash Valley College women's basketball team. The 19-0 Lady Warriors continued their ascent in the national polls in the latest poll that was released on Tuesday.

WVC checks in at No. 5 in NJCAA Division I, checking just within the top five. It's an improvement from their No. 6 ranking last week and their 127-61 throbbing of SWIC assuredly helped the Lady Warriors' case.

Gulf Coast State was slotted just behind Wabash Valley, coming in at No. 7. The Lady Warriors defeated GCS 68-65 back in November.

In their unblemished start, Wabash Valley is defeating opponents by an average margin of 42.7 points per game (100.3-57.6 ppg).

The Lady Warriors will look to extend their win streak to 20 games with a victory on the road against Southeastern Illinois College on Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1 p.m.
