Lady Warriors sign JUCO All-American, Ashley Moore, to the 2017-2018 recruiting class. Moore, a 5'6" guard, transfers to Wabash Valley from Cincinnati St. Moore helped lead the Lady Surge to a 27-8 record on the year and an appearance at the National Tournament. Moore averaged 16.7ppg, 2apg, and 3.3 spg while making 89 3's on the year shooting 41% from 3.
Other awards that Ashley accumulated last year were: 2nd Team All-American, National Player of the Week twice including a 37 point performance vs. Vincennes, First-Team All-Region, Conference Freshman of Year, First-Team All-Conference, All-Conference All-Defensive Team, Conference All-Freshman Team, District Tourney Most Outstanding Player, and was selected to participate in the prestigious NJCAA Top 40 All-Star game in Niceville, FL.
"Ashley is an elite shooter, she has unlimited range and is a threat anywhere she is on the court" said Coach Luke Scheidecker "She is a high IQ player, she always put herself in the right place at the right time on both ends of the court. Teams will always have to know where she is at on the court at all times. We are excited she chose to be a Lady Warrior."
