Beginning of Season Recap For WVC Baseball

     The Wabash Valley Warriors baseball team has had a terrific start to their season. They went 17-1 and have several notable stats. The warriors lead the nation in stolen bases(96),

 third in average (.346). Pitching has been key to the warriors sucess, leading the nation in ERA (1.32) and k/9 (14.92).

Wabash Valley has several standout players from the first 18 games. 

 

     On the Offesive side, Noah Myers leads the nation in stolen bases (31). Cael Baker leads the GRAC in RBI's (27), home runs (4), and he's second in the GRAC in batting average (.357).

 

Zade Richardson is leading the GRAC in batting average (.358). Savier Pinales leads the GRAC in triples (3) and is third in stolen bases (16). 

   

     On the Pitching side, Antonie Kelly Jr. is tied for first in the nation in ERA (0.00), and leads the GRAC in strikeouts (37) and k/9 (19.59). Jonathan Beymer has a top ERA in the

 

GRAC of (0.55) and is third in strikeouts. CJ Weins leads the GRAC in saves (4),  is second in k/9 (19.42),  and has an ERA of just 1.00. 

 

     The Warriors continue play on Thursday with Frontier Community College.
